SUPERIOR MODERN LUXURY STATUS CONFIRMED BY DOUBLE WIN FOR RANGE ROVER AT AUTO TRADER NEW CAR AWARDS 2024

Range Rover has taken a double win at the Auto Trader New Car Awards 2024, with two of the luxury brand’s cars topping fiercely contested categories.

Best Luxury Car was awarded to the Range Rover, which saw off competition from the Porsche 911 and Bentley Bentayga. Meanwhile, the Range Rover Sport was named Best Car for Towing ahead of the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen Touareg.

Winners at the Auto Trader New Car Awards aren’t chosen by committee – instead, the victors are decided by vehicle owners. Around 200,000 UK drivers are invited to share their opinions in an online survey, meaning real-world experience determines which cars come out on top.

Voting on a range of lifestyle factors and consumer-centric categories, this methodology produces a true reflection of what UK motorists think of their cars.

A range of 16 criteria formed the basis for this year’s judging, covering reliability, performance, appearance and running costs, among other factors. Owners were also asked to give a view on their overall ownership experience and how likely they would be to recommend their car to others.

Some say that nothing compares to a Range Rover and it would seem there’s some truth in that with the ultra-luxurious SUV beating out its competitors to be named our best luxury car with the Sport taking the best car for towing award as well. Whether it’s the exquisite interior or the effortless power, everything about the British SUV screams luxury. One owner described their car as simply ‘Perfect combination of luxury, comfort and practicality’.

It’s a real honour for the Range Rover brand to receive not one, but two such prestigious awards. Receiving awards in these categories is especially pleasing, as they highlight both the luxury and the capability that is present in all of our vehicles. Furthermore, the awards demonstrate the confidence and appreciation from Range Rover owners – in that regard, they have a hugely significant meaning for us. Our thanks to the Auto Trader team and all of the owners who voted.
