Volvo EX30 and XC90 named ‘Most Anticipated New Vehicles’ of 2025 by Newsweek
Two Volvo car models, the 2025 Volvo EX30 and the new and improved 2025.5 Volvo XC90, have been selected by Newsweek as winners of ‘America’s Most Anticipated New Vehicles 2025’ award.
The Volvo EX30 is the first small premium electric SUV from the Swedish brand. It is designed to have the smallest carbon dioxide footprint of any Volvo car to date and make people’s lives safer, more convenient and more enjoyable through cutting-edge technology and Scandinavian design.
The EX30 has been one of the most popular EVs in Europe and will be coming to the U.S. this year with a very attractive and competitive starting price for the 422 horsepower Twin Motor Performance model with 2531 miles of range. A Single Motor variant is scheduled to come to the U.S. later in 2025 with an even more affordable starting price.
At the other end of the spectrum is the XC90, a Volvo Cars icon. Thanks to a broad suite of technology and design updates inside and out, the award-winning and best-selling flagship SUV is now better than ever before. It’s a premium seven-seater with ‘comfortable’ as its middle name. As one of the safest cars on the road, and in plug-in hybrid form, the XC90 is an outstanding electric car with a back-up plan.
A renewed interior enhances practicality while a larger central touchscreen with higher resolution improves the user experience with a world of new features, apps and regular over-the-air software updates.
