Here’s how much Jaguar thinks you should pay for the first EV grand tourer on its new electrified platform, marking its upmarket makeover.

Jaguar is looking to make the move from another premium automobile manufacturer to a luxury marque, with a brand relaunch in the works. Part of the upmarket move is a renewed focus on North America and EVs. The brand may thus choose to show off the first of three new all-electric models based on a new bespoke electric platform, the Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA), at the Pebble Beach Concours in August.

This will likely be a new electric Jaguar grand tourer — with as much as 575 horsepower, 434 miles of driving range, and the clincher, a price tag upwards of $125,000. This will move the new Jaguar GT into Porsche territory when it launches in 2025. This considering the 2024 Porsche Taycan 4S retails from $118,500.

While we know nothing concrete yet, several has been hinted at about the model. The company says of the new Jaguar GT’s styling, “It’s a copy of nothing”, hinting at the unique design. Many believe, though, that the new Jaguar EV will wear styling that harks back to one of Jaguar’s most iconic models, the Jaguar E-Type. The company will likely first display a concept that will lead to the production Jaguar EV grand tourer aimed square at the American market.
