Jaguar isn’t late to the EV game, as it launched its I-Pace back in 2019, but the English brand certainly hasn’t kept the ball rolling, either. That will all change soon, though, according to Jaguar Land Rover CEO Adrian Mardell, as the executive hinted at a new all-electric, grand touring sedan coming shortly, Automotive News reports.
Details are scarce but the CEO explained that the impending model will be made for the U.S. market and comes with a price tag of more than $125,000. Set for production on Jaguar’s Electrified Architecture, the now-Land Rover-separated brand will eventually extend its EV lineup to three dedicated models. Previous statements by Chief Creative Officer Gerry McGovern indicate that the EV could have as much as 434 miles of range and power output as high as 575 hp.
Addressing journalists on May 10, Mardell explained that this electric sedan will be part of Jaguar’s brand re-launch, particularly in the critical U.S. market. Previously, Jaguar had success in America by targeting ultra-wealthy buyers and this all-electric, luxurious, long-range sedan is slated to do just that, according to Automotive News.
